- Over 1/3 of rural women will be victimized at the hands of an intimate partner
this year (Chamberlain, 2002)

- Safe Haven assisted over 350 women and children through our Residential and
Outreach programs in 2010 - 2011.

- Our Public Education & Awareness program has reached over 1500 students!

-Alberta Shelters accommodated
13000 women and children in 2006-2007; 27 000
were left without safe accommodation.

spousal homicide.
